Oh well, we are all back at work now. All fun and games. There has been a volcano in Iceland that has stopped flights over / in UK airspace over the last week so many people stranded in Europe. Very sunny here though at the moment and looking forward to a lovely summer.

Uncle Robs last flight..
We have been lucky enough to be in town when the famous captain Rob Oxley had his final flight as captain to foreign soil. He has hand selected his crew and their final return trip is on Monday. We went to see Wicked in the West End last night and it was fab. We are going to Kensington garden with the boys and then hopefully are organising a nice bbq/braii for this evening for Rob and Wendy.

Xmas in SA 2009
We had a fantastic holiday in Cape Town. The weather was superb and the boys really enjoyed the outdoors and sunshine. We were very fortunate to have stayed in my parent's old neighbours house in Somerset West which was very spacious with a great garden and use of the pool. Apart from the usual rush before xmas on the shopping front we managed to do quite a few touristy things with Anne (Dan's mum). Some highlights were the penguins at boulders beach, watching England vs SA cricket at Newlands, the boys loving the beach (forgot my camera on those days), lunch at the waterfront, driving along the coast to Cool Bay and generally chilling out at the pool. Dan and Anne enjoyed a few days in the Amakhala Game Reserve which they said was fantastic. A very chilled out but fun New year was spent with old friends, Mandy, Dave, Lauren, Chris to name a few. Apart from recharging our baterries and taking in some gorgeous African sunshine, the holiday was made most special by seeing family and friends. I haven't had a full family xmas in 6 years so it was great for the almost entire Oxley family to be together. Needless to say plenty of wine was drunk and of course a family reunion wouldn't be the same without the odd FEW family squabbles. It was also great to catch up with old friends. Meeting Lauren and Chris's new gorgeous baby Sean and seeing Matthew as such a grown up little boy now was great. Also meeting Mands's new little girl Anna was very special. It was also great to see the Glover family especailly big Thomas.
Anyway it has been a shock to the system to come back to the snow and cold weather over here. I am off work until feb half term when I return to finish the academic year. Thomas started nursery school this week and seemed to have enjoyed his two sessions. James is starting to get a bit daring and trying to walk but instead takes a few steps and basically launches himself into my arms.
That's about all our news for now. Happy New Year to everyone. Jen and all the boys xxx

October 2009 pics
October has come and gone pretty quickly. Dan and I have both had some time off and so have been doing bits around the house and getting out a bit as well. Some of the pics were taken in Nene park where we met up with Fiona, Lloyd and Elise. We had a great day and are very sad that they are going back to Aus. We also had a halloween party last night which went down very well. The biys had a good time and Thomas really enjoyed going trick or treating with his mates. xxx
