PUSH
Well that's it. We did it. Jen was having pretty heated contractions from about 2pm yesterday. We held it off until 11pm when we went in to the malden suite, which is a midwife led area, no doctors...they were brilliant. We had our own room and birthing pool etc....Jen has loads of Entonox and had a pethidine injection at 2am to help with any pains over the next hours or so. However the entonox quickly took charge and helped her throught the labour. I had a good old look at the business end and cut the umbilical chord (nice). am shattered now though so apologies in advance for the spelling errors. What an experience...

Wednesday 30th May
Jen has been for a sweep (yesterday) and has been booked in for induction next Wednesday if nothing happens. She had reflexology yesterday too along with a SPICY Chinese meal. We are still thinking about names so the longer the better really. I am on half term this week too, so it gives us a good time to chill out before 'the birth' and our 'life changing out of recognisable proportions' time - thanks to everyone for pointing this out. We have had some time to sort out evening invites for the wedding and time to book bands and so on which is great actually, perfect timing. (I've added some meditation sounds to the blog, to relax the reader, and added a Welsh sport search at the bottom of the page which gives you the latest news on Welsh Rugby) Enjoy...

Still Waiting...
We are still patiently waiting for the little chap to show his face. We anticipated that Jen's due date was incorrect due to the fact that she has a long cycle so even though she is technically late, we have calculated the due date ot be really Wed/Thursday so no need to worry just yet. We are aiming to avoid induction and do this as naturally as possible so fingers crossed. We have had a relaxing weekend Jen has had some reflexology and I will do some Reiki on her later to help her relax.
I am so glad to have a break at the moment for half term, great timing really, so we can get throguh this week together. I think Nando that cat seems to be suspecting things are changing...
Anyway thanks for all your calls and support, we will contact you when she gives birth. Bye for now.............

One Day to go
Well it's the 24th of May. Tommorrow is the due date... Its looking like Jen will be a bit later but you never know. I start half term on Friday so anytime now would be great but nature will take its course. We should be ready for the birth, lots of our friends via the baby birth classes are 'popping' already before the due date(s) so jen thinks Statistically she will be late. Hopefully we can both watch the Aus v Wales and the SA vs England rubgy games this weekend. I reckon the Wales game will be close 31-28 and SA will beat England 40 -28. Anyway...next post maybye baby?

Baby shower (2)
Jen's baby shower was this weekend (Saturday). I had a bit of grief from the Ante-natal chick about the fact that I had to drag her off, so while the girls partied, Ian and Dan (and nando) went to the eurovision song contest party at the cheam hockey club. Thanks to everyone for the effort they have gone to and for the amazing pressies that they got the baby.

Bank Holiday Weekend
Well here we are on bank holiday weekend. Jen is starting to drink Rasberry leaf tea now (supposed to aid the final stages etc). the hospital bag is PACKED, Jen is technically at full term from last Thursday so anyhting can happen at any time. Jens baby shower is on its way (She does not know the exact date, it's a surprise) If you have not been contacted by El drop her (or me) a text. Umm, all fine at moment, probably going to have a BBQ today but looking outside it seems to be getting a bit overcast. It's been great weather here recently and now the bank holiday approaches it gets all grumpy, oh well.
