Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. We've had a very very cold start to the year. It is -10 here in NY today. We got back from our ski trip to Jiminy Peak yesterday. We had to stay an extra day as we had a snow storm the afternoon we were supposed to be leaving so we decided to play it safe and leave the next day. We had the most unbelievable skiing conditions on the last two days. We had gorgeous new powder and lots of it, I think it is probably the best skiing conditions we've ever had.

Anyway it was great to ski with the boys too. Ryan is so quick and speeds down double black diamond runs that there is no way I can keep up with him. Stuart is also quick and is still skiing blues so I stand more of a chance keeping up with him. Dan and I were lucky to be able to ski all the time as Jane looked after Thomas. She is 7 months pregnant which was very convenient for us so thanks Jane.

Unfortunately Thomas has picked up a bad cold so we are just going to be taking it easy the next few days. Hopefully his congested nose will clear for the flight home on Sunday or Thomas and I could be staying a bit longer again ...
